How you get paid in the United States

On your own store, the buyer pays straight into YOUR Stripe account. Etrovvo never receives, holds or forwards your sale money — and takes 0% of it. What you do is pick a plan, connect your receiving account (Stripe’s form opens inside your dashboard; there is no Stripe login to create) and tell us where you collect sales tax. Balance, payouts, bank account and chargebacks all live inside your Etrovvo dashboard.

Wondering "where's my money"? The in-dashboard help assistant brings you straight to this guide.

1

Pick a plan

There is no free plan in the United States: a plan is required before your store can accept orders. Etrovvo takes 0% of your sales — the subscription is its only charge.

  1. 1In the sidebar, under Configuration, open Etrovvo plan and choose a plan, monthly or annual.
  2. 2The subscription is billed by Stripe on Etrovvo’s own account — it is separate from your store’s sales.
  3. 3Until a plan is active, your storefront shows the catalog but tells buyers the store is not accepting orders yet.
  4. 4The Etrovvo marketplace does not operate in the United States — your sales happen on your own store.
2

Connect your receiving account

This is what lets your checkout charge. Stripe’s own form opens right inside the Receiving tab — you never create a Stripe login and never paste a key into Etrovvo. Stripe may open a small window of its own to confirm your phone or e-mail.

  1. 1In the sidebar, under Configuration, open Wallet → Receiving tab. Say whether you are registering as a person (sole proprietor) or as a registered business — Stripe cannot change this later.
  2. 2Press "Connect receiving account". Stripe’s form opens on the same tab and asks for your identity, your tax ID (EIN or SSN) and the bank account where payouts go.
  3. 3Once Stripe enables charging, the card reads "Charging enabled". If it says "Incomplete", the notice on the same tab lists what is missing.

💡 Stripe may ask for more later — an ID, proof of address. The Receiving tab shows what is missing and you get an email. That check is Stripe’s: Etrovvo takes no part in it and cannot speed it up.

3

Tell us where you collect sales tax

You are the merchant of record, so the registration is yours. Sales tax is only added for the states you list — at least your own.

  1. 1Register with each state where you must collect, starting with your own.
  2. 2In Settings → Tax & compliance, list those states.
  3. 3From then on, every sale to a listed state gets the exact rate for the buyer’s address (Stripe Tax), shown as a separate line at checkout and recorded in your Stripe account.
  4. 4Filing and paying the tax stay with you — the quarterly report in the dashboard gives you the numbers.

💡 Stripe charges a small per-transaction fee for that calculation, in your account, only on sales to states where you are registered.

4

Each sale lands straight in your Stripe account

The buyer pays on your store page and the charge runs in your Stripe account. Etrovvo never touches it — there is no Etrovvo payout to wait for.

  1. 1The customer checks out and pays by card.
  2. 2The amount is in your Stripe balance the moment the payment succeeds, and the order shows as "Paid" in your dashboard.
  3. 3Stripe’s card-processing fee is charged in your account, per sale, and shows on every payout.
  4. 4Etrovvo’s commission is 0% on every plan.
5

Payouts to your bank — on Stripe’s schedule

Stripe sends your balance to the bank account you gave when connecting, on its own payout schedule. Etrovvo does not set that timing and never holds the money.

  1. 1Wallet → Balance tab: your balance and every payout, with dates — Stripe’s own view, inside your dashboard.
  2. 2Receiving tab: Stripe’s own account panel, where you add or change the bank account.
  3. 3If a payout fails (closed account, wrong routing number), the Receiving tab shows what to fix and you get an email.
6

Refunds and chargebacks come out of your balance

Since the money is yours, the refund is yours too: it goes back to the buyer’s card from your Stripe balance.

  1. 1Orders → open the order → Refund, full or partial. The buyer gets an email.
  2. 2Sales tax on the refunded part is reversed in your Stripe tax records automatically.
  3. 3Chargebacks: the buyer’s bank pulls the amount from your balance right away and you get an email with the deadline. Respond in Wallet → Receiving tab → Chargebacks, with proof of the sale (tracking, delivery confirmation, messages with the customer).

💡 Cancelling an order from your dashboard never moves money — use Refund for that. Two things do refund from your balance without you pressing Refund: a buyer who cancels an unshipped order from their account, and a return you refund from the Returns screen.
