Vendor guide
Add your first product
Adding a product on Etrovvo takes just a few minutes. You fill in a handful of required fields, add at least one photo, and save — and it can go live on your store. Let's walk through it, start to finish.
If you get stuck at any step, the in-dashboard help bubble can bring you straight to this guide.
Open the Products screen
This is your home base: the products you already have, plus the button to create new ones. A good place to start.
- 1In the dashboard, go to Products — you'll see your product list (a table on desktop, cards on mobile).
- 2If you run more than one store, check the Active store selector: the new product is added to the selected store.
- 3In the top right, click Add product.
- 4If you see Limit reached — upgrade instead of the button, you've hit your plan's cap (10 on the free plan); upgrading unlocks more.
💡 With no store selected, the screen asks you to pick an organization before you can continue.
Fill in the basic information
The Name is the only truly required field here — everything else is optional and can wait.
- 1Under Basic information, type the product Name (required).
- 2Optionally add SKU (free text, not auto-generated), Color, and Brand.
- 3Don't look for a URL field: the product address is auto-created from the name (and color) when you save.
- 4Each color is its own product — in edit mode there's a Duplicate for new color button to clone one.
💡 Color is picked from a ready-made dropdown; Brand is free text.
Set the Status and sale modality
Status decides whether the product goes live right away. A new product defaults to Active, so a straight Create publishes it immediately.
- 1Under Status, keep Active to publish now, or switch to Draft to stage it privately (Archived also exists).
- 2Under Sale modality, choose the Fulfillment type: In stock — ready to ship, Made to order — built after purchase, or Digital — online delivery.
- 3If it's made-to-measure, turn on the Customizable product switch.
- 4Note: made-to-order, digital, and customizable all make the order non-cancellable and non-returnable.
💡 Want to prep it quietly? Switch Status to Draft before you save.
Add photos and the description
At least one photo and the full description are required — they're what convinces a shopper to buy.
- 1Under Product images, upload at least one photo (first image = cover; up to 6 images, 4 MB each).
- 2With no photo, Create is blocked with Add at least one photo — this check is separate from the other fields.
- 3Under Description, write the Full description (required, up to 2000 characters).
- 4Want a hand? Use Generate with AI (from your notes) — capped at 3 generations per product.
Enter price, stock, and shipping size
Etrovvo asks for more than most: Sale price, Cost, and Stock quantity are all required — and Cost is the one that surprises vendors.
- 1Under Pricing & stock, fill in Sale price, Cost, and Stock quantity (all required; Compare-at price and Barcode are optional).
- 2Under Shipping details — box size, enter Weight, Length, Width, and Height (required for physical products).
- 3Leaving Cost blank blocks Create with Cost required — fill it in even if it's an estimate.
- 4If you turn on Variants, stock becomes read-only and equals the sum of your variant rows.
💡 A Digital product has no stock (forced to 0, no tracking) and no shipping size — those fields become a note; if it's digital, set up delivery under Upload file or Link / key.
Review the optionals and click Create product
The remaining sections are optional — you can save without them and come back later. Clicking Create validates everything at once.
- 1Optionally fill in Specifications, Variants, Categories, and Supplier (none are required).
- 2If you turn Variants on, add at least one row, or you'll see Add at least one variant or disable variants.
- 3Click Create product: Etrovvo validates the fields and the photo, builds the URL and SEO data, and saves.
- 4Success? You'll see Product created and return to the list — it only shows on your store if Status is Active.
💡 As soon as you type the Name, Etrovvo auto-saves a draft (Saving draft… / Draft saved automatically); Create promotes that same draft — it doesn't make a duplicate.
